Not the trip itself, but the itineraries! The day I got to the hotel they said there was some emergency and had to move us(bro and I) to Hooters Hotel! I had a fun 3 days shopping, walking and eating though =) Also met up with a college roommate to celebrate her birthday for just a day. Finally on the last day, all hell breaks loose. My bro boarded his plane fine. But me?! I went to the airport Sunday 7pm. to find out my flight was delayed for another 4.5 hrs. I was suppose to board at 7:30pm. No phone call at all for any update! When 11:30pm came for boarding, they say flight is canceled! It's about 12am. Then they have us line up in two lines. 1 for boarding passes and 1 for a free night hotel stay at the Hampton Inn Tropicana. We're the last people standing in our section of the airport. 20 minutes go by while I'm lining up to receive my boarding pass. Then they say boarding passes can be picked up in the morning for the 8:30am flight next day. So then they tell us all who needs hotel and food voucher to line up in the other line to receive that. So I line up for another 15 minutes and 1am is coming around the corner. The security announces that the last bus to the main airport luggage area to catch the shuttles will be closed and if we're still there in line after 1am we have to take a special shuttle. So it's 1:15am, I finally get my hotel, food, and free next flight voucher and get to the shuttle bus. Finally get to my hotel by 1:30am. Used my food voucher for some food and head to bed at 2am. The shuttle man suggested to be downstairs at 4am to take the first come first serve shuttle back to the airport as he's the only driver and Monday is suggested one of the busier mornings at the airport. So I took his suggestion and was downstairs at 4am. LIAR! I was the only one there! At this point, I'm dead tired! Then the hotel sheets gave me hives because of my sensitive skin and I'm extremely drowsy with my allergy meds and 2 hrs of sleep! Super grumpy! So I sit in the shuttle and waited til 4:30am. and arrive at the airport about 5am. The driver was right about the busy morning at the airport after all. But it was still a bit too early for me I think. So I get checked in and get to my flight station by 5:30am. My boarding time was 7:45am. So I ate some breakfast and took a small nap. When boarding time comes they announce that the flight is once again delayed for another 1-2 hrs. I'm just laughing at this point. The reason was that there was bad weather in S.F. landing strip for our carrier. Damn United! 9:45am comes and YAY we board! Finally got back to S.F. 12pm. and home by 1pm. What a trip! At least I got free hotel and air vouchers for my next trip. Have to fly United again but hope no more delays!!!
